QUESTION: What is the cost to have my new furniture or cabinets assembled and are there any hidden fees?

ANSWER: No, there are no hidden fees. The price you're quoted is the total price you'll pay. Prices are based on the complexity of an item and the time required to properly complete the assembly in compliance with the manufacturers specifications of that particular item.


QUESTION: Is there a minimum fee required and is there an additional trip charge for the service call?

ANSWER: Yes. The minimum fee is determined by your zip code. There are no additional fees for travel unless the assembly fee is less than the required minimum fee. If your project cost doesn't meet the minimum fee requirements, you'll be given the option of receiving a price quote that will include the normal assembly fee plus a travel charge corresponding to your location. Minimum fee: $150.


QUESTION: If a second service call is necessary due to delivery issues such as damaged or missing product, will there be an additional fee?

ANSWER: If the damage is hidden within the box and no signs of damage are visible on the outside of the box, then there is no additional fee for the second service call. Also, if parts are missing from the sealed box, there is no additional fee required.
 
NOTE: If damage is visible and obvious, you should not accept the damaged items at the time of delivery. Also, do an inventory of the delivery to check for any missing or out of stock items not delivered with the order. If damages or shortages are discovered at the time of or after delivery, please notify us immediately of the situation. If we are not notified, then there will be an additional fee for the second service call.


QUESTION: Do you offer store pick up and delivery at the time of the assembly appointment?

ANSWER: We absolutely do, so long as all the logistics are taken care of beforehand.


QUESTION: Can I make an appointment for assembly on the day I'm scheduled to get delivery from the store where I purchased my new furniture?

ANSWER: Yes. So long as the paperwork has been sorted through beforehand, we will pick up your furniture from the store and install it on the same day.


QUESTION: When my delivery arrives, what do I need to do?

ANSWER: Have the delivery people place the product in or near the room where the product will be permanently placed once assembled. Visually check the outside surface of each box for any obvious signs of damage.

Inventory the delivery to verify the quantity of packages is correct. After the delivery, please contact us to verify you received your order and to confirm your appointment to have your new furniture assembled.


QUESTION: If the delivery people leave the product boxes in my garage, will your assembler move them to the room where the furniture will be assembled and placed?

ANSWER: Yes. We move the boxes to the right place before assembling their contents.


QUESTION: What type of furniture do you assemble and can I purchase the furniture at my favorite retailer?

ANSWER: We assemble all brands and types of ready-to-assemble home and office furniture, cabinets and many other products that require assembly, including IKEA products. These products can be purchased locally or on-line at the retailer of your choice.


QUESTION: How much time will it take to assemble my new furniture?

ANSWER: Due to complexity and design, every item varies in assembly time. Time required can also vary depending on the amount of working space available to assemble your new furniture. You will be given the approximate time required to properly complete your project from start to finish when you receive your free, no obligation price quote.


QUESTION. What do we do?

ANSWER. We turn boxed furniture/ sports equipment and put it together into the finished product.


QUESTION. Do we do moving?

ANSWER. Yes we do. We disassemble furniture that doesn't fit, move the pieces into position at the new spot, and put it back together!


QUESTION. What will it cost to relocate a piece of furniture?

ANSWER. This depends heavily on the type of furniture being hauled and the 
location of where it is going. A job with straight and wide hallways 
will be done quicker than one with narrow and winding hallways.


QUESTION. Is there a minimum fee for the dispatch of one of our crew?

ANSWER. $150 is the bare minimum for any job.


QUESTION. Can you do store pickups and installations on the same day?

ANSWER. If the materials are all ready to go, then yes.


QUESTION. What happens with the trash after a job is complete?

ANSWER. We either haul it away from you for a premium, or neatly stack it up in one spot for easy disposal.


QUESTION. How long will it take ?

ANSWER. I don't know. It depends. Each case is unique.


QUESTION. How can you pay?

ANSWER. We take all major forms of credit and debit cards, as well as cash, check, or wire transaction.


QUESTION. Do we bring our own tools?

ANSWER. Yes, in fact we come equipped with industry standard tools designed to make the assembly process much more hassle- free and quicker.


QUESTION. You ordered a job. What happens now?

ANSWER. At the appointed time, a crew will come to the indicated address, check in with you at the start and check out at the end of the job. You will get and invoice by mail upon confirmation of payment.


QUESTION. What area do our services cover?

ANSWER. We cover all of Maryland, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, Delaware, and Southern Pennsylvania. The entire tri state area.


QUESTION. I have a basketball hoop I'm in need of installing. How does that work?

ANSWER. The job is broken down into two days. Day 1, we dig, mix, and set the base of the hoop into the ground. Day 2 happens 4 days later after the base had a chance to harden and set in. That's when we mount the pole and the net itself.


QUESTION. How soon can I have an appointment set?

ANSWER. Usually, we'll schedule you a day or two after your initial call or email. If there is an emergency, we may be able to fit you into the same day.


QUESTION. How can you prepare best for our services? 

ANSWER. Please have the quantity, make, and model of your furniture piece handy before calling us. Make sure you have the dimensions of the hallways measured out and inform us if the need arises for us to trek through stairways on the way to the loading area. Name, address (pick up and delivery), phone number, and email are all necessary for proper communication.


QUESTION. Do we do interior decoration?

ANSWER. We can't design a room for you but we can install everything necessary to achieve your vision.


QUESTION. What happens to a sofa that's too big to fit through a door?

ANSWER. We cut the structural parts holding the sofa together, relocate the parts, and put it all back together with the help of some screws and steel plates. When we're done, the structural integrity of your furniture remains unaltered.


QUESTION. Do we do upholstery?

ANSWER. No, we don't. We're handymen, not upholsterers.
